The cheer teams also appeared in JET Magazine and were featured in the World Book Encyclopedia. She was featured on WBBM -TV (CBS) as "Someone You Should Know."

At Olive-Harvey College, she was the assistant dean and project director of the National Youth Sports Program winning three National Excellence Awards. She retired from CPS in 2007 and founded Palmer and Associates Consulting Fimi. Palmer is a Men's Vibram FiveFingers KSO TrekSport in Grey and Red Member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority. Inc.. member of the Black Women's Hall of Fame; honored by three mayors as Outstanding Educator/ Role Model and Outstanding Administrator from U.S. Congressman Davis.
